Have you ever been driving and somebody speeds past you only to land at the following red light at the same time as you? It seems that everybody is in such a rush to get somewhere.
This same concept applies in internet marketing or network marketing. Everyone seems to be in a big rush to get to the top and make the big cash.

You consistently create loads of value-added information for others and a lot of it for FREE because you comprehend and understand the Law of Reciprocity.
You give first in order to get.
Or, if you do something nice for me I’ll do something nice for you. I feel obligated to reciprocate.
It does not matter what specific niche you have actually chosen, you have to build a solid basis of know, like and trust.
And what ultimately occurs, if you do it right, you will begin to gain momentum with the number of prospects and followers you have.
Why is it essential to become an authority in your niche?
It’s simple really. With authority you will become a leader in your niche.
When prospects want answers or solutions to their pain points, they will first turn to a leader because leaders are expected to have all the answers.
It is proving that you are a leader that earns you the know, like, and trust factor of your followers and prospects.
Know, Like, and Trust = Respect = Money. Any good leader will tell you that to earn the business of their followers those followers need to first know, like, and trust them.
And the only means to gain the respect of followers or prospects in your niche is to prove that you have a right to be one of the forerunners in that niche.

Have a Vision
Who do you want to become? How do you want to be known and recognized?
These questions are crucial to your mindset.
You need to have a vision to start any business.
Do you want to become a Top Earner in your Network Marketing Company? If so, then visualize yourself being successful and walking on stage at your Company Event.
Do you want to turn into the person in your niche that provides value so people are drawn toward you because you offer solutions to their problems? This will brand you so you become an authority in your niche.
Rather than focusing on how much money you want to make, focus on who you want to become.
Suspend Your Disbelief
Quit justifying where you are and begin seeing yourself in a better situation than you currently are in.
Folks tend to practice the ‘if only’ mindset to justify where they are.
- If only I was more outgoing, I would talk to even more people about my business.
- If only I did not have a fear of calling prospects, I would do more phone calls.
- If only I had a sparkling personality, I would be more successful.
These are all means to justify your present situation.
One of the first steps to becoming an authority in your niche is to Believe in Yourself.
You need to suspend those ‘if only’ thoughts in order to reach your destiny.
You need to see yourself as better than you currently are. You need to see your situation getting better or it never will.
Invest in courses, register for webinars, or actually attend seminars so you can better serve, understand, and provide value to your audience.
Engage in learning and educate yourself so you become an expert that provides and freely gives value to your niche.
Remember, it’s not about you but rather about your audience and their needs.
Create and Publish Content (With Authority)
The quickest way to become an authority in your niche is to Teach. But to teach you must first learn.
Invest in your education for it will assist in building your platform of value.
A mentor of mine, Ray Higdon, refers to this as the ILT approach, which is Invest, Learn, and Teach.
Remember all those notes you took from your course or book that you invested in or bought, create a blog post or maybe a short 3 minute video of the key elements that you learned and teach it to your audience.
All those notes you have taken are simply un-cashed checks waiting to be deposited on your business website or blog.
Blogging is without a doubt the most effective and fastest way to become an authority in your niche.
Build and Serve Your Audience
Go where your celebrated, not tolerated.
Find what you’re passionate about and freely give and provide value to that audience.
If its health & wellness, serve that audience with value-added solutions to health concerns.
If its network marketing, offer that audience value-added solutions to their pain points.
Learn how to generate leads daily and keep those leads engaged by provided value-added information that will address their problems.
You may have heard the expression “knowledge is power.” This is wrong!
“Applied knowledge is power.”
Whether you are in Real Estate, Home Business, Insurance, Air Conditioning, or a Health & Wellness Coach (to name a few examples), building authority in your specific niche will position YOU on the frontlines to your competitors.
